Safari from Cape Town: 12 Days in Namibia
Day 1: Cape Town
We'll meet in our hotel at around 6 pm, giving you all the details you need before beginning the incredible twelve-day safari adventure from Cape Town.
Following the explanations, you'll have free time to visit Cape Town at your own pace.
Day 2: Cape Town - Springbok
We'll eat breakfast in the hotel, then make our way to Springbok, in the heart of Namaqualand. We'll explore the city, found between the tall granite domes of Klein Koperberge. Known as the 'Garden of the Gods', It's currently one of the administration centres for the mining operations that operate in the area.
Then, having explored the city we'll make our way to the hotel to rest.
Day 3: Springbok – Fish River Canyon
First thing in the morning we'll enjoy a complete breakfast in the hotel, and hit the road northwards until we reach Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world. During the journey, we'll enjoy the beautiful views of Namibia's stunning natural landscapes, as well as the huge number of birds who live there.
We'll take a hike through the canyon, one of the largest in the world, before arriving at Orange River, a refreshing oasis in the arid lands.
With the third day of your safari over, and having worked up an appetite, we'll have dinner and go to bed.
Day 4: Fish River Canyon - Helmeringhausen
Our fourth day on safari will take place in Helmeringhausen. We'll eat breakfast in the hotel, and hit the road to this settlement in the south of Namibia. The red and orange tinged desert here surrounds the town: a truly impressive sight!
Then we'll head to the hotel and relax before the next day of adventure.
Day 5: Helmeringhausen - Sesriem
Once we've eaten breakfast, we'll continue with our 12-day circuit, visiting Sesriem - the gateway to the Namib desert and well known for the "Sesriem Gate" - the entry point to the Namib-Naukluft National Park and nearby Sossusvlei.
Then we'll make it to your hotels to rest until the next day.
Day 6: Sesriem
At the midpoint of the safari, we'll visit Sesriem, discovering the history of the settlement as well as the famous Sesriem Canyon, a natural canyon formed by the power of the Tsauchab River, and its action carving out the sedimentary rock of the region. An impressive sight, and we'll enjoy lunch in a truly unique setting
You'll have the opportunity to climb the majestic Dune 45, in the Kalahari desert, and as you tread its ruby red sands you'll enjoy impressive views of the Namib desert. Then our tour of the desert continues before we head back to the hotel to enjoy a complete dinner.
Day 7: Sesriem – Swakopmund
We'll leave Sesriem behind and board the Atlantic coast, arriving at Swakopmund, enjoying breakfast in one of the best local restaurants, where you can try the delicious local cuisine. Here the air is cooler, and you can try a range of optional activities such as 4x4 safaris, skydiving, sand boarding and more.
We'll then head to the hotel for the night.
Day 8: Swakopmund
We'll eat breakfast in Swakopmund, making the most of the great food in the region. You can take a walking tour of the city to enjoy its typical German style buildings, wander the coast, or visit the Krystal Gallery, which has the world's largest Quartz Crystal Cluster, weighing in at 14,100 kg! There are also various optional outdoor activities you can try.
Day 9: Swakopmund – Outjo
On the ninth day of the tour, we'll head to Outjo leading to the Etosha National Park. This is a charming little town, which was founded by the Germans as a military base to explore South West Africa. You'll spend the night here, enjoying a complete dinner, before heading to the national park the next day.
Day 10: Outjo – Etosha National Park
We'll leave Outjo behind after breakfast, to visit the star attraction on the trip, the Etosha National Park. Here you'll head out in search of elephant, black faced impala, zebra, the endangered black rhino and over a hundred other species which call this park their home. During the rains, you can see flamingos and other bird species, and the watering holes become magnets for all manner of exotic species.
And we'll visit a Himba settlement to get to know their customs and way of life, and incredible day, immersed in a totally different culture.
Day 11: Etosha National Park
We'll breakfast and take a drive around the whole national park, making lasting memories of unique sights such as the grey-white elephants bathing in the dust, hear the powerful roar of or majestic giraffes silhouetted against the horizon.
We'll head back to the hotel for the evening, soundtracked by the quiet chatter of the animals all around.
Day 12: Etosha National Park - Windhoek
Once we've eaten it's time to travel to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, where we put an end to an unforgettable 12-day safari around Namibia.
During the tour you'll stay in the following hotels:

- Day 3: Canon Road Lodge (Twin Rooms)
