Palermo & Monreale Day Trip
Palermo & Monreale Day Trip
We'll meet at the selected time and meeting point, where we'll board the bus that will take us to Palermo after about 2 hours. Off we go!
Once we arrive at our destination, we'll visit Palazzo dei Normanni, the current seat of the Sicilian Regional Assembly and the oldest royal residence in Europe. After visiting this splendid palace, we'll head to Palermo Cathedral, which we'll learn about with our guide.
After discovering the history of Palermo's temple, we'll visit Piazza Bellini, the Quattro Canti and Piazza Pretoria. Afterwards, we'll leave you some free time to have lunch in one of the city's restaurants. Enjoy your meal!
In the afternoon we'll reach Monreale to visit its impressive cathedral, built in 1174 at the behest of William II of Altavilla. Together with our guide, we'll discover all the secrets of this extraordinary religious building, one of the most iconic Norman monuments in Sicily.
You'll have free time to explore the centre of Monreale and, at 6:30 pm, we'll meet up again to set off on the return journey to our starting point.
