Chiclayo Private Tour

If you are spending several days in Chiclayo and want to discover its impressive surroundings with a guide who will be there exclusively for you, you can book any of our private tours. These tours last between two and a half to eight and a half hours and include hotel pick-up, transport in a private vehicle, and an English-speaking guide.

Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum (2 and a half hours)

We will depart from Chiclayo to the city of Lambayeque, where we will visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum. Here, we will enjoy one of the most spectacular museums in America, which houses the findings from the excavations of 13 Mochica tombs. We will also visit the first intact tomb of a ruler of ancient Peru. The itinerary will be similar to the excursion to the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum.

Zaña (3 and a half hours)

We will travel to the agricultural town of Zaña, founded by the Spanish under the name of Villa Santiago de Miraflores de Zaña. Here we will enjoy a guided tour to discover its main attractions, such as the convents of San Agustín and San Francisco and the portico of the church of La Merced. The itinerary will be very similar to that of the excursion to Zaña.

Huaca Rajada (3 and a half hours)

We will travel to the area of Sipan, where we will visit the archaeological site of Huaca Rajada, the most famous of the Mochica culture. We will admire the remains of the two adobe pyramids and the mausoleum of the members of the royal and religious elite. Also, the mummy of the Lord of Sipan, only comparable to that of Tutankhamen, will blow your mind. The tour will be very similar to the excursion to Huaca Rajada.

Brüning Museum + Huaca Chotuna (4 hours)

We will leave Chiclayo and head for the Brüning National Archaeological Museum in Lambayeque. Inside, we will explore over 1,400 historical pieces from different tribes such as the Moche, Vicus of Chavin.

From here, we will go to the archaeological site Huaca Chotuna-Chornancap, the ceremonial center of the Lambayeque culture. Another highlight of the tour will be the visit to a viewpoint from which you can admire the 26 pyramids of Tucume. Royal Tombs Museum + Huaca Rajada (5 and a half hours)

On this excursion we will visit the archaeological complex Huaca Rajada or Sipan, belonging to the Moche and Lambayeque cultures. During the tour, we will discover the interior of the complex of huacas or pyramids dedicated to religious worship, where we will see the mausoleum and, of course, the remains of the Lord of Sipan.

We will continue traveling to the Lambayeque region to discover the Royal Tombs Museum. The tour will be similar to the excursion to the Royal Tombs Museum + Huaca Rajada.

Tucume (4 and a half hours)

This tour will take us to Tucume, also known as the Valley of the Pyramids. We will explore the ancient capital of the Lambayeque kingdom in pre-Hispanic times, discovering the 26 adobe pyramids. Also, we will visit the Tucume Museum, where we will find original archaeological pieces from different cultures. 

After that, we will visit some of the main pyramids, such as Huaca las Estacas, Huaca el Mirador or Huaca Larga. The tour will be very similar to the excursion to Tucume.

Tucume + Royal Tombs of Sipan (8 and a half hours)

We will travel from Chiclayo to the archaeological site of Huaca Rajada. Then we will explore the whole area discovering the replicas of the tombs of the Lord of Sipan. Next, we will reach Tucume, a place full of pyramids that belonged to pre-Columbian Peru. The tour will be very similar to the excursion to Tucume + Royal Tombs of Sipan.

Batan Grande +Nationa Museum of Sican (5 and a half hours)

We will leave Chiclayo and travel to Batan Grande, an archaeological site made up of twenty lopsided pyramids. Here, we will visit Huaca del Oro and Huaca la Ventana, two of the most special pyramids in the area. We will continue the excursion and visit the National Museum of Sican, where we will learn everything related to the Sican culture. Opening hours

Until December 31, 2021, the opening hours of these monuments will be as follows:

• The pyramids of Tucume will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. 
• The Royal Tombs Museum will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• The Sican Museum is closed.
