Montebello Lakes Tour

At the appointed time we'll pick you up at your hotel in Comitán de Domínguez in an air-conditioned vehicle and drive to the Montebello Lakes, the natural border between Mexico and Guatemala.

Located between the municipalities of La Trinitaria and Independencia, these lakes have been a national park since 1959. Our excursion will take place in this spectacular enclave, where we'll discover the extensive vegetation of this space formed by lakes of crystalline waters and forests of pines and holm oaks.

The park is made up of 50 lakes, some of which are connected to each other by underground rivers. We'll visit the most famous ones and marvel at the landscapes of the Montebello Lakes while we soak up nature and get to know its great biodiversity. During the excursion, you'll have time to have lunch on your own in one of the local restaurants.

After discovering this hidden paradise on the border between the two countries, we'll return to Comitán and drop you off at your hotel. Arrival is scheduled seven hours after pick-up.
