Chaiguen Park, Aucar & Tocoihue Waterfalls Trip
Chaiguen Park, Aucar & Tocoihue Waterfalls Trip
Between 9 am and 9:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Dalcahue and drive northeast to Chiloé Island, where Chaiguen Park is located.
We'll walk through the different paths in this incredible natural area and see myrtle trees, tepas, cinnamon trees, ulmos and even more botanical species found on Chilóe Island. In addition, we'll visit the Chaiguen Waterfall, whose waters flow into the river of the same name.
The next stop on our tour is the nearby coastal village of Aucar. From the harbour, we'll walk across the wooden footbridge to a place with a mysterious name: The Island of Sailing Souls. On this islet, we'll visit the small Botanical Park and admire the façade of the Chapel of Our Lady of Merced. This religious building is a beautiful structure with architecture that echoes the famous wooden churches of Chiloé.
After visiting the village of Aucar and its famous island, we'll go to a local restaurant so you can relax and have lunch on your own. Once you've had lunch, we'll drive to the breathtaking Tocoihue Waterfalls. Prepare yourself for some incredibly high waterfalls! These waterfalls reach almost 130 feet (40 metres) and are the highest waterfalls in Chiloé. We'll make stops at different viewpoints so you can take lots of pictures of these colossal waterfalls.
At the end of our trip, we'll take you back to your hotel in Dalcahue, where we'll arrive at 5:30 pm.
