Tour Options

During the booking process, you'll be able to choose between the following two routes:

Historic Frankfurt Tour (1.5 Hours)

At the indicated time, we’ll meet on Berliner Straße, right in front of St. Paul’s Church, and begin a tour exploring the history of Frankfurt and its most iconic landmarks.

We’ll start by heading to the Main Train Station, the busiest railway hub in the state of Hesse, before making our way to Römerberg, the historic heart of the city. In this picturesque square, once the setting for medieval trade fairs and coronations, we’ll admire the Römer City Hall, the Fountain of Justice, the traditional half-timbered houses, and St. Nicholas Church.

Next, we’ll walk to the Eiserner Steg, a 19th-century iron footbridge over the River Main that offers great views of Frankfurt’s skyline and the museum embankment.

We’ll then visit Frankfurt Cathedral, the Gothic church where German kings and emperors were once crowned, and continue to Paulsplatz to learn about St. Paul’s Church, considered the birthplace of German democracy.

Our route will also take us through the financial district to see landmarks such as the Commerzbank Tower before ending outside the Goethe House, birthplace of the writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

After around 1.5 hours discovering historic Frankfurt and the story behind its landmarks, we’ll conclude the tour.

Frankfurt Contrasts Tour (2.5 Hours)

At the indicated time, we’ll meet at the Old Opera House and begin a walking tour through some of Frankfurt’s most emblematic areas. We’ll stroll along the city promenade to Goethe Square, where we’ll talk about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Johannes Gutenberg, before continuing to Hauptwache Square and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Along the way, we’ll also see Eschersheimer Turm, one of the city’s remaining medieval towers, as well as Thurn and Taxis Palace and the famous Zeil shopping street, one of Frankfurt’s busiest commercial areas.

Next, we’ll reach Konstablerwache Square and see remains of an ancient Roman wall before heading to the reconstructed New Old Town and the historic Römerberg Square, where we’ll admire the Römer Town Hall, the Fountain of Justice, and Alte Nikolaikirche.

We’ll then continue along Coronation Road to St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral and walk to the historic Alte Brücke, where we’ll enjoy views of Frankfurt’s skyline and the European Central Bank.

Finally, after crossing the River Main and passing through the Sachsenhausen district, we’ll end the tour at Willy-Brandt-Platz after a total of 2.5 hours.
