Churning rapids, lush jungle, a raft and you: ready for an adrenaline-inducing adventure in Costa Rica? Enjoy white water rafting on the Tenorio River, one of the best places in Guanacaste to experience this fun activity!

White Water Rafting in Guanacaste

If your travels aren't complete without a rush of adrenaline surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes: we've got the activity for you! You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken deep into the tropical jungle that covers much of Costa Rica in the direction of the Río Tenorio. This river flows through Guanacaste from its source near the Tenorio Volcano, making it the perfect place to enjoy an intrepid watersports adventure!

Arriving at the riverbank, you'll be given all the equipment needed for your white water rafting experience. Kitted out with your helmet and life jacket, you'll climb aboard the rafts and begin your journey downriver. Throughout the 7-mile (11 km) rafting route, you'll navigate your vessel past cascading waterfalls and around swirling whirlpools.

What's more, you'll be surrounded by the abundant Costa Rican rainforest as you raft down the Tenorio River... maybe you'll even spot some of the diverse wildlife hiding amongst its beautifully lush trees and plants!

At the end of your high-octane rafting adventure, you'll enjoy a well-earned lunch to renew your energy, before being taken back to your hotel in Guanacaste.
