Tour Details

After picking you up from your hotel, at the indicated time, we'll set off on our private tour of Hanoi. Depending on the duration of the tour you select, we'll visit between 1 and 5 monuments. You can choose the monuments you're most interested in, creating a completely customized itinerary. Below is an example itinerary of places and areas you may want to visit:

For example, we might begin at the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake, in the heart of the city. We'll admire the lakeside landscapes as we approach the Ngoc Son Temple, in the middle of the lake. We'll learn about its historical and cultural significance along the way, while soaking up fantastic views.

No visit to Hanoi is complete without a stroll through the Old Quarter. We'll make our way through the narrow, bustling city streets as we learn about the curious history behind the street names lined with colonial buildings and buzzing local markets.

Continuing on, we can head to the Temple of Literature, Hanoi's oldest university. Founded in 1070, we'll admire this tranquil space that honors Confucius while also showcasing classic Vietnamese architecture.

Hanoi is also known for an incredible amount of French colonial architecture. We'll walk over to St. Joseph's Cathedral, a neo-Gothic building often referred to as Hanoi's “Notre Dame” before checking out the Opera House, both excellent examples of French colonial style. We'll learn about the history behind this building where French and Vietnamese performances take place.

If you're looking to experience a more authentic version of Hanoi, we'll visit the Dong Xuan market. As one of the largest and oldest markets in the city, we'll get an authentic taste of day-to-day customs, not to mention local street food favorites. It's also the perfect place to pick up meaningful souvenirs, as we'll pass by stalls with handicrafts.

Another must-see in Hanoi is the Long Bien Bridge, built during the French colonial period. From here, we'll be treated to stunning views of the Red River. Cameras ready!

Then, after an exciting route through the vibrant capital city, we'll bring the experience to an end at the final monument visited, after a total of 3 to 8 hours, depending what you select upon booking.

Duration and Visits

During the booking process, you can indicate which monuments you would like to visit depending on the tour duration you choose. Keep in mind that, depending on the duration, you will be able to visit a different number of monuments:

• 3-hour tour: visit 2 places
• 4-hour tour: visit 3 places
• 6-hour tour: visit 4 places
• 8-hour tour: visit 5 places

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in the center of Hanoi. If you're staying outside this area, the local supplier will reach out to you to confirm a central meeting point. Alternatively, hotel drop–off is not included.
