Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Huatulco and climb on board a comfortable vehicle. We'll embark on a 2-hour drive along the coast to Puerto Escondido, a true paradise in the south of Mexico.

Our first stop will be a local chocolate factory, where you'll discover the traditional process to make cacao, from the seed to the chocolate bar. We'll stay here for about 30 minutes and enjoy a tasting that will include mezcal, cured meats, mole, sal de gusano, and, of course, chocolate. Did you know cacao has deep roots in Mesoamerican cultures?

Then, we'll head to the Benito Juárez market, the main shopping spot in Puerto Escondido. Here, you'll enjoy 1.5 hours of free time to stroll among the stands, take pictures, and buy typical products or Oaxacan crafts. You'll explore the flavors, smells, textures, and colors that fill its numerous stalls.

You'll have more free time to grab lunch at a typical restaurant. We'll suggest the best places to savor regional cuisine, with options ranging from fresh seafood to traditional stews such as the Oaxacan mole. Enjoy!

After lunch, we'll head to the Playa Carrizalillo, one of the most beautiful corners in Puerto Escondido. You'll enjoy this small bay of calm waters for 1 hour, where you can swim, relax under the sun, or simply admire the Pacific Ocean. It's a true hidden paradise!

Later, we'll head to the iconic Playa Zicatela, famous among surfers from around the world. Here, you'll have 1 more hour to take a stroll on the sand, have a drink at the restaurants on the beach, or simply enjoy the sunset in front of the sea.

To end this special day, you'll have the option to visit at your own pace the picturesque Adoquín, a Bohemian area filled with artisanal shops and nightlife, or participate in an exciting turtle release on the beach, for an additional cost.

Finally, we'll return to Huatulco and say our goodbyes at your hotel after 11 hours.
