Discover the spirit of the Highlands on Scotland's legendary malt whisky trail and tour Speyside's most traditional distilleries, castles and even a cooperage, or barrel maker.
Speyside Whisky Tour
We'll leave Inverness behind, ready to discover the spirit of the Scottish Highlands: whisky! After a 40 minute drive, we'll arrive at Benromach Distillery.
We'll tour the facilities of this small company, which has been making whisky since its foundation in 1898. Their product is hand crafted using local spring water, making it one of the most exclusive whiskies! On the day of the tour, you can choose between visiting the distillery or Brodie Castle, home to the Brodie clan for over 400 years, instead.
Heading south, our next stop will be the Glenfiddich Distillery, one of the few still owned by a Scottish family. After learning how they make their popular whisky, you'll have half an hour to eat lunch at their restaurant (not included).
Continuing on the malt whisky trail of the Highlands, we'll visit the Speyside Cooperage, where oak casks are made for the different distilleries in the area. Over 100,000 Scotch whisky barrels are produced and repaired here each year! Our final stop will be at The Glenlivet, the oldest legal distillery in the area, where we'll discover what record was set by their whisky in 2016.
At the end of an unforgettable day, we'll head back to Inverness at around 7 pm.
