La Paz Food Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Plaza San Francisco to begin this food tour of La Paz to discover the flavours of Bolivia. Ready? Let's go!
Our first stop will be the Mercado Lanza, a market where locals buy fresh produce and tropical fruits. As we explore the market, we'll try our first treat: a delicious api con pastel, a traditional drink made of purple corn accompanied by an empanada.
Next, we'll stop at some of the most popular local restaurants in La Paz to try some of the most traditional snacks and dishes from the region. As we tour the historic centre of La Paz, we'll find out all about Bolivian cuisine and the origins of local recipes.
Then, we'll stop at a restaurant to try Colonial or Andean dishes accompanied by a refreshing beer. You'll also visit a pretty local tourist restaurant to try singani, a famous drink made from the Muscat of Alexandria grape.
We'll end our tour on a high note by trying the traditional charquicán or pique macho, a local dish made with beef, sausages, potatoes and egg. Delicious!
Finally, after 3 to 3.5 hours, we'll say our goodbye at the historic center of La Paz.
