Komodo Islands Private 3 Day Trip
Day 1: Labuan Bajo - Rinca - Flying Fox Island
On the first day of the tour, you'll be picked up at the airport or your hotel in Labuan Bajo. From there we'll head off to the harbour, where our luxury boat will pick us up. The tour will consist of a 3-day private tour in which you'll explore the Komodo Dragon Islands.
As soon as we board our vehicle we'll head to the village of Rinca and meet all of its inhabitants. Did you know that they are also called the gypsies of the sea? This is due to their peculiar marine traditions.
Shortly after, we’ll sail towards Flying Fox Island and dock next to the shore so that we can take in the beautiful surroundings. These islands are also well known for their flying foxes, creatures that fly to nearby Flores Islands in search of food. These bats have a wingspan of almost half a metre – it'll leave you speechless!
Day 2: Flying Fox Island - Rinca - Manta Point - Kanawa
After enjoying a tasty breakfast on the boat, we’ll leave Flying Fox Island and continue our tour to Rinca Island to meet the famous Komodo dragons, the largest lizards in the world. Fascinating species that can grow up to 9 feet (3 metres) long.
In the afternoon, we'll sail towards Manta Point so that you can swim and snorkel with the huge manta rays that surround this wild area. Afterwards, we'll stop at one of the park's pristine beaches and indulge in an unforgettable dip in the sea.
We’ll soon reach the island of Kanawa, where we'll dock our boat for the night.
Day 3: Kanawa - Bidadari - Labuan Bajo
On the last day of the tour, we'll visit the Messa people, a highly interesting community that has maintained its nomadic marine traditions.
If the weather holds up, we'll venture out to the island of Bidadari and discover its mesmerising white sandy beaches.
Once we conclude the tour, we'll be dropped back at the hotel in Labuan Bajo at 5 pm or at the airport, just in time for your 5 am flight to Bali.
Accommodation
The accommodation during these 3 days will be on a 247 feet (20 or 23-metre) motor sailboat that holds up to 5 passengers. This luxury vessel is divided into two spacious cabins: a master cabin for up to three adults on the lower deck and an upper deck cabin for up to two adults. Both have en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning.
