Isla de Lobos Trip

Sail along the Bocaina strait and enjoy a day of fun in the sun on Lobos Beach, a virgin and uninhabited islet facing the northeast coast of Fuerteventura.

Itinerary

We'll pass to pick you up near your hotel, and from there make our way by bus to Playa Blanca's Rubicón Marina, in the south of Lanzarote.

At 10 am we set sail on board the Princess Cat catamaran yacht, crossing the waters of La Bocaina, the strait which separates Lanzarote from the north of Fuerteventura. As we sail we'll enjoy a welcome mojito, as well as refreshing ourselves with a free bar of beer, sangria, soft drinks and water.

Having sailed for 45 minutes we drop anchor on the Islote de Lobos Coast, where we will disembark on a smaller boat (known as a 'launch'). You will learn about the history of this paradise island, so called for its large population of endangered monk seals, sadly now lost (a seal in Spanish is often called a "lobo marino", "sea wolf").Its classification as a national park today enables the preservation of this virgin paradise.

Here you will have three hours of free time on the island to swim in its turquoise waters, and there will be equipment made available so you can take part in activities such as snorkel, kayak etc.

Around 2 pm we'll get back on the launch to return to the catamaran, where we will enjoy a paella on board. Having eaten we'll make a tranquil tour of the Lobos coast before beginning our return journey.

We arrive back at the Rubicón Marina around 4 pm. From here we return to Lanzarote's tourist areas by bus.
