Royal Palace Small Group Guided Tour
Visit the Royal Palace of Madrid
If you don't want to leave the Spanish capital without seeing one of its most important monuments, this guided tour of the Royal Palace of Madrid is perfect for you. Did you know it's the largest royal palace in Western Europe and one of the largest palaces in the world? This building has witnessed the history of Spain, so visiting it is a must.
At the designated time, we'll meet at Plaza de España, number 9. Once we're ready, we'll start strolling toward the Royal Palace to begin this tour in a small group, where there will only be a maximum of 8 people. This way, you'll have the privilege of learning all about the facts of this monument in Madrid in full detail.
As we step into the Royal Palace, we'll dive into the history, art, and beauty of each room. Commissioned by King Philip V of Spain in the 18th century after the fire that destroyed the former Royal Alcázar in 1734, the Royal Palace stands out due to its enormous size: it has 214,069 square feet (19,900 square meters) and almost 3,500 rooms.
This building dazzles all of its visitors because of its rich details. The ceilings decorated with frescoes, its marble floors, ancient clocks, and spectacular chandeliers will leave you completely speechless. We'll explore the most famous rooms of the Royal Palace of Madrid, such as the Hall of Mirrors, the Gala Dining Room, the Throne Room, the Porcelain Room, and the Gasparini Room.
To complete the visit, we'll admire the palace's collection of musical instruments, where you'll see the famous Stradivarius Palatinos, along with paintings, sculptures, and tapestries. You'll see valuable pieces of art!
Then, 1.5 hours later, we'll conclude the guided tour and say our goodbyes at the exit of the Royal Palace of Madrid.
