Civitatis Travel Insurance
Civitatis Travel Insurance
With Civitatis Travel Insurance, you'll have all the coverage you need, as it includes all medical expenses at the best health centers, repatriation costs, theft and delays of luggage, and even civil liability. We have no deductibles, no upfront payments, and no established list of hospitals. You can go to the most suitable hospital for your needs, wherever in the world you may be.
Of course, you can contact us 24 hours a day, either by phone, email, or even WhatsApp. We're always on hand to help. In addition, this insurance can be booked until 11:59 pm the day before the trip begins.
You can check the full details of the insurance policy here.
Types of Insurance
All insurance policies offer the same coverage; the only difference is the price, which depends on the number of days of coverage. When booking, you can choose between 3, 5, 10, 15, 21 or 31 days, depending on the length of your trip.
Important Info
We recommend purchasing our insurance BEFORE starting your trip. If you're already at your destination, there is a 72-hour waiting period from the date of purchase, and coverage related to luggage will be void. The date to select on the calendar is the start date of your trip.
The insurance is not suitable for travel within your country of residence.
You must take into account that while the insurance is valid for any destination, we'll ask you for the destination when making your reservation for internal purposes.

Why Should You Get Travel Insurance?
Holidays and trips are normally stress-free and problem-free, but on the odd occasion when something goes wrong, depending on the country you're in, accessing healthcare may be difficult or expensive.
Below, you can see a comparative table of the average cost of medical care by country.
For example, in the United States, the minimum cost for any emergency consultation can vary between US$ 1,000 and US$ 5,000. In the event of hospitalization, the average stay amounts to US$ 30,000. Although there are many worse cases, let's stop counting; it's enough to give us goose bumps!
The United States is not the only country with high medical costs. Morocco, Turkey, China and Mexico can also be a nightmare for foreign visitors.
Fortunately, all of the above is a problem that can be avoided by traveling with travel medical insurance. If something happens, you'll still lose a day of your holiday, but at least you won't be hit with any excessive bills!

Frequently asked questions
-
Q - Can the policy be sent in another language?
A - Yes, we'll send you the documentation in Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese.
-
Q - Is it necessary to pay the money in advance? Is there a possibility of co-payment?
A - You must always contact the 24-hour assistance center, which will be responsible for managing the assistance and necessary payments to medical centers. As a general rule, no money is advanced for medical assistance, except in very specific cases in certain places off the beaten track where the medical center only accepts cash or card payments. In these exceptional cases, we'll ask you to pay in advance, and we'll reimburse you upon your return from your trip.
-
Q - Is this insurance valid for sea cruises?
A - Yes, it's valid for both river and sea cruises.
-
Q - Which local supplier will be providing the tour?
A - Intermundial Seguros Corporate name: INTERMUNDIAL XXI S.L.U. Registered Office: C/ IRÚN, 7, PLANTA 1, PUERTA A, Madrid, Spain Tax Identification Number (VAT ID): B81577231 Contact information Email: info@intermundial.es Phone: +34674226967 This supplier is commited to providing services in accordance with applicable European Union laws.
-
Q - Can someone on Erasmus take out this insurance?
A - If it is to cover your entire Erasmus stay, you would not be covered, as it is considered that you are not traveling, but rather residing abroad for a certain period of time, and what you need is health insurance, not travel insurance. If an Erasmus student books a separate trip and needs insurance, they are covered.
-
Q - Is this insurance valid for travel to different countries?
A - Yes, it's valid worldwide.

A - Yes, it's possible.
-
