Mount Ida + Agia Pelagia Jeep Safari
Mount Ida + Agia Pelagia Jeep Safari
At 8 am we'll come to pick you up from your hotel in Malia to embark on an exciting journey to explore West Crete aboard our all-terrain jeep. You won't be disappointed!
We will first head to Mount Ida, also known as Psiloritis. Yes, we get to explore the highest mountain on the island of Crete!
As we advance further into the mountain region, we'll discover the incredibly diverse natural landscapes of the mountain, from flora and fauna to geology.
Our first stop in Mount Ida will be Anogia. We'll wander the streets of this town and take a break to have a cup of coffee at a cafe. After our coffee break, we'll hop back onto the jeep and head to our next destination, called Axos. This the perfect spot to admire the magnificent view of the Mylopotamos plain.
After tackling mountain roads and impressive heights, now it's time to learn more about Crete, so we'll be making a stop at a family farm. There, we'll learn about the wide variety of animals and plants they tend to and the many regional food products they make.
To conclude our farm visit we'll enjoy a full traditional meal, comprised of a main dish, a salad, and dessert. And once our appetites are satisfied, we're off to the beach.
Our last destination will be Agia Pelagia beach, where we'll have free time to leisurely take a swim in the clear waters, sunbathe, and relax on the golden sand. What a grand finale, right?
We will drop you off at your hotel in Malia around 4 pm, ending the tour.
