Discover Comuna 13 from the Skies
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the hangars of Olaya Herrera Airport, from which point we'll begin this helicopter tour of Comuna 13. We'll fly over some of the most iconic areas and landmarks in the city of eternal spring, paying particular attention to street art.
Once on board the helicopter, we'll fly over the iconic Pueblito Paisa, the Coltejer Building (the tallest in Medellín), the botanical gardens as well as the Atanasio Giradot Stadium - all from a height of over 300 metres (985 feet)!
From the air, you'll be able to admire the sheer might of the mountains as well as the bright colours of the houses in the areas which surround Medellín - don't forget to bring your camera!
That all being said, this helicopter tour will put a particular emphasis on the stunning graffiti of Comuna 13. This area was once considered to be the most dangerous in the world. Today, however, it's renowned for it's striking street art which we'll be able to see from the sky! Along the way, we'll tell you lots of interesting facts about the art scene in this area.
After a 12-minute flight, we'll arrive back at the starting point. See you next time!
