Guatapé Day Trip + Traditional Farm Visit
Guatapé & El Peñol Day Trips Details
After meeting at the designated time at the meeting point in Medellín, we'll leave the city behind and venture into eastern Colombia. Our first stop will be in the town of Marinilla, where we'll enjoy a traditional breakfast.
We'll continue our journey to the famous El Peñol de Guatapé. Standing at 721 ft (220 m), this imposing monolith overlooks the region, and for those who dare to climb its steps, it offers an unparalleled reward: Guatapé at your feet! You'll have free time to marvel at this unique landscape.
Our next stop will be the picturesque town of Guatapé. We'll stroll along the Malecón and lose ourselves among the stories told by the reliefs in the Plaza de los Zócalos. Its colorful facades and the authenticity of its streets will instantly charm you.
To connect with the rural essence, we'll visit the Alto del Chocho farm. From this natural viewpoint, you'll have 360-degree panoramic views of the reservoir and the Antioquian mountains. In addition to experiencing life in the countryside, you'll see friendly llamas! After the visit, we'll enjoy a typical lunch in the area.
Finally, we'll begin our return journey, concluding the activity between 10 and 11 hours after the start at the starting point.
