Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the BBVA bank on Calle de la Palma, right in the historic center of Mexico City. From this spot, we'll begin this walking tour that will take us to the soul of the Mexican capital to journey through its history, art, and livelihood.

We'll begin by seeing the imposing Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the oldest and largest cathedrals in America. We'll explore its halls for 15 minutes while sharing the secrets of its Baroque and Colonial architecture, as well as its connection with its viceroyal past.

Next to this cathedral, you'll find the Templo Mayor, one of the main remains of the grand Tenōchtitlan. For 20 minutes, you'll touch the volcanic stone of its foundations with your own hands as we tell you about the sacred symbolism of this ancient Mexican capital. You'll be amazed by what is still preserved under the modern city!

Then, we'll stop at a traditional bakery, where you can enjoy freshly baked bread. You'll love its aroma as you try some typical Mexican desserts with traditional music that will enhance the experience even more. It'll be a delight for your senses!

Afterward, we'll see the different murals of Diego Rivera, one of the greatest examples of Mexican muralism. We'll discuss his work in an interactive way, revealing the social, political, and historical messages behind his brush strokes. You'll see how Rivera transformed the country's history into a visual narrative accessible to all.

After 3 or 3.5 hours, we'll conclude this tour with a new perspective of the historic center of Mexico City. This city not only is visited, it's experienced!
