In the heart of Montevideo, very close to the Parque José Enrique Rodó, is the City Winery, an urban gem that transforms perception and winegrowing culture in Uruguay. This winery and restaurant blends tradition, innovation, and passion in just one place.
Visiting City Winery is a multisensorial experience deeply connected to the tradition of the Pizzorno family, which has four generations of wine-producing expertise. After years of success in Canelón Chico, this family has decided to transform an old house from the 80s into a space where wine and cuisine come together to delight the most demanding palates.
Wine 360º UY
On the terrace of City Winery, you'll find the immersive room where the Wine 360º UY show takes place. This audiovisual projection with immersive large-size screens offers scenic views of the family's vineyards and winery.
For 20 minutes, you'll dive into a narration of Uruguay's winegrowing history from the perspective of the Pizzorono family and the Italian immigrants who started the wine industry in the country.
Without a doubt, Wine 360º UY is a show that will awaken all your senses and take you on a journey to the heart of a country that is passionate about its wine and people.
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can choose between different options:
- Tasting of 1 wine: with this option, you'll enjoy a welcome drink before the projects. This option is available at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. The total duration of the video and the tasting is 30 minutes.
- Tasting of 3 classic wines: in this case, you can taste three wines from the Pizzorno Don Próspero range. You can book this tasting at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. It lasts 1 hour.
- Tasting of 3 premium wines: with this option, you'll enjoy three wines from the Pizzorno Reserva range. You can book this tasting at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. It lasts 1 hour.
- Tasting of 5 wines: if you want the most special experience, enjoy a tasting guided by a sommelier where you'll try five wines from different regions in the country. This option is only available at 4 pm and lasts 2 hours.
