Discover the most important locations around Oslo with a fun-filled panoramic bus tour and then a wonderful boat trip on the beautiful fjord. This is an unmissable experience!

Oslo Sightseeing Tour

This comprehensive sightseeing tour of Oslo is made up of three options. When you make the reservation, you must choose one of the following:

3 hour tour

We will start our tour of Oslo by enjoying a panoramic bus ride around the city. After touring the port area and the historic quarter of the Norwegian capital, we make our first stop at Holmenkollen, Oslo’s famous ski jump.

You will have half an hour of free time to take some photos of this internationally famous ski jump. We then continue our tour at Frogner park, where we hop off the bus to take a guided stroll around the Vigeland sculpture museum.

We conclude the tour by returning to the departure point on the bus

4 hour tour

After following the same route as the 3 hour tour, we then take the bus to the peninsula of Bygdøy, commonly known as “the museum neighborhood”.

Once we disembark at Bygdøy, you will receive the ticket to the Kon Tiki museum so you can visit it at your own pace. This exhibition is dedicated to the legendary raft journey which Thor Heyedahl took from Peru to Polynesia.

When our museum visit has finished, we will board a boat which will take us back to the City Hall pier in Oslo.

Important information: the journey from the Kon Tiki museum to the City Hall is only done by boat between the 15 March and 13 October (weather conditions allowing). The rest of the year, this journey is done by bus.

5 hour tour

After taking the same sightseeing bus route and guided walk as the 3 hour tour, we will drive to the peninsula of Bygdøy. Here you can visit the Fram Museum (dedicated to polar exploration) and the Viking Boat Museum at your own pace (entry to both is included). Finally, once you have visited the permanent exhibitions, we will return to the original starting point.

Important information: the journey from Bygdøy peninsula to the City Hall in Oslo is only done by boat between 15 March and 13 October (if the weather conditions allow for it). The rest of the year, this transfer is done by bus.

Both the Fram and the Viking Boat Museums may occasionally be closed to the public for maintenance. In the case that one of them is closed on the day of the tour, you will visit the Kon Tiki museum instead (entry included).

Important information

For operational reasons, it is possible that sometimes the journey between the museum district and the center of Oslo will also be by bus, including in the period between 17 March and 15 October.

Languages

  • The panoramic bus tour is accompanied by a live English-speaking guide and a multilanguage audio guide providing information about the monuments and locations that are observed during the route.
  • The walking tour around Frogner park is done exclusively with an English-speaking guide.
