Panama City Food Tour
We'll meet at the entrance of the Mercado de Mariscos, the perfect place to start to discover the delicious flavors of Panama City. Are you ready to give in to Panamanian cuisine? Let's go!
In this first buzzing place in Panama City, we'll learn about some of the most popular products in local cuisine, where fish plays a crucial role. You'll see the different stands where the red porgy, sea bass, or lobster from the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans are on display. Here, you'll try two types of fresh ceviche.
With this delightful taste, we'll walk toward the Mercado de San Felipe Neri, a hidden gem where we'll try natural juices and traditional desserts. like a delicious sancocho. This dish will conquer even the most demanding taste buds!
Afterward, we'll explore the Avenida Central, the cultural heart of the city. We'll step into a bakery to continue exploring the local delicacies, like the classic mamallena, a dessert made from bread, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and raisins.
As if that weren't enough, we'll head to El Chorrillo to indulge in torrejitas de bacalao, rice with coconut served with pickled fish, and a tasty seafood stew. It'll be finger-licking good!
Finally, we'll visit the Plaza Amador, filled with street vendors, where you can keep trying Panama City's typical drinks and foods.
