Day Trip to Saona & Catalinita Islands
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Punta Cana and set off on a day trip to Saona and Catalinita Islands. Let's set sail!
First, we'll head to a site where we'll find a sunken ship and snorkel in the crystalline waters. Then, we'll continue our journey through a protected area of mangroves, approaching a sandbank.
We'll skirt Catalinita Island, also known as Turtle Island, where we'll witness sea turtles swimming freely. Here, we'll also have time to approach another abandoned ship that's stranded near the island.
Next, we'll continue sailing towards our next destination of the day, Saona Island. Did you know that it's considered one of the most beautiful islands of the Dominican Republic? Welcome to the Pearl of the Caribbean!
On this paradisiacal corner, we'll enjoy lunch, consisting of seafood rice, pasta, chicken or grilled pork chops, and a non-alcoholic beverage. After lunch, you'll have approximately 2 hours of free time to stroll along the beach, take a dip in its crystal-clear waters, and sunbathe under huge palm trees.
To put the finishing touch to the experience, we'll go to the natural pools of Saona Island, one of the largest sandbanks in the world, where we'll see starfish! You'll have about 45 minutes of free time to enjoy the surroundings.
Finally, after 9 hours in total, we'll say goodbye at the starting point.
