Tabernas Desert & Fort Bravo Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time on Calle Chillida to set off on a 40-minute bus journey to the charming town of Tabernas.
When we arrive, we'll head to the Terrera Ventura interpretation centre to find out all about an ancient civilization that inhabited the desert 3,000 years ago. Then we'll make our way to the castle of Tabernas, an 11th-century Arab fortress that will offer us extraordinary panoramic views of the Sierra de Los Filabres mountain range and the Tabernas Desert.
We'll explore the spectacular desert landscape, during which we'll learn all about the origins of this territory and the international fame it has gained since the 1960s after being used as the set for many iconic old western movies.
Next, we'll set off on a walking tour of the historic center of Tabernas, admiring the charming homes and emblematic buildings like the Church of San Sebastián and the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation.
Then, we'll set off for Fort Bravo, a western-style theme park also known as Texas Hollywood. We'll spend 4 hours enjoying free time to explore the park and watch cowboys on horseback, cowboy duels, cancan dancers... You won't be bored!
You can also get on a horse cart to tour the Mexican village or the Native American camp or the American fort. You'll also have time to eat at one of the area's themed restaurants.
To finish the excursion, we'll return to the bus and head to the starting point, arriving after a total of 6 hours.
