Baja California Day Trip Itinerary

Having met your guide at 9 am at Santa Fe Depot, you'll set off from San Diego in the direction of Baja California, whose name means "Lower California" in Spanish. After half an hour's drive, you'll cross the US border ready to explore Mexico!

The first stop on your guided tour of Baja California will be Tijuana, the largest city in the state. You'll explore the historic centre and pass by the iconic Cultural Centre, one of the city's most important tourist attractions, before reaching the emblematic Avenida Revolución. This city centre road is home to the traditional cantinas, night clubs and handicraft stores that have attracted visitors to Tijuana from San Diego since the Prohibition era.

After exploring Tijuana, you'll head back to the highway for the 45 minute journey to Puerto Nuevo, a tiny fishing community known as "Lobster Village" after its most typical delicacy. Stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant and enjoy the sea views while you indulge in delicious local lobster.

You'll have time to relax on Puerto Nuevo beach after eating. Take in the spectacular ocean views from the sand while being entertained by a live Mariachi band!

Continue your tour of Baja California as you make your way to your next stop: Rosarito. Spend an hour and a quarter discovering this picturesque Mexican town, home to the perfect fusion of beautiful beaches, nature and colourful streets. Did you know Rosarito was known as the Mexican Hollywood in the 1920s? Discover why on the day of your tour!

Following your Mexican adventure, you'll head back to San Diego, where you'll be dropped off at the original pick up point at 7 pm.

This excursion crosses the border between the United States of America and Mexico, therefore it is obligatory that you bring your valid passport on the day.
