Would you like to explore one of the most vibrant areas of the Andean forest in Tucumán? After picking you up from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán, we'll head north to the village of El Cadillal in Tafí Viejo. Let’s go!
After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive at the starting point of the Andean forest trail leading to the Loro River. We'll begin our hike uphill, walking among ancient trees characteristic of the subtropical forest of central South America. As we move forward, the trail will become steeper and more demanding. But don’t worry — after the climb, the descent begins!
At the descent point, we'll prepare to grip the ropes that will help us navigate the downward stretch. After this fun challenge, we’ll hear the sound of rushing water, letting us know that our star destination is near.
Just a few more steps, and we’ll arrive at the stunning Aguas Chiquitas waterfall. Surrounded by high cliffs and unique rock formations, this waterfall is one of the most beautiful in the nature reserve. Here, we’ll relax and enjoy some delicious sandwiches and fruit while taking in the natural beauty around us.
After soaking in the magical scenery and taking a refreshing dip if you wish, we’ll begin our return hike. Then, 5 hours after pick-up, we’ll drop you back at your hotel, ending an unforgettable adventure in Tucumán’s Andean forest.
