Are you in Santiago and fancy a winter adventure? If so, we'll meet at the selected spot and, after a short drive, we'll arrive at a ski clothing rental shop. There we'll equip ourselves with the necessary clothing, such as gloves, pants, jackets, and snow goggles, to enjoy this excursion to El Colorado. Ready? Now let's go!
After a half-hour drive, we'll be greeted with a welcome drink, specifically a pisco sour and breathtaking views from the El Colorado ski resort, located more than 2,500 m (8,200 ft) above sea level. The snow-capped peaks, pine forests, and fresh air of the Andes Mountains provide the ideal setting to enjoy winter.
When you arrive, you can choose whether you want to ski or snowboard, and we'll provide you with the equipment. Once you are ready, you'll have 6 hours of free time to enjoy one of the best ski resorts in South America. Best of all? You'll have a 2-hour skiing or snowboarding lesson included, in which an expert instructor will teach you the tricks to become true professionals in these winter sports.
The center has 50 km (31 mi) spread across 70 different slopes, ranging from areas for beginners to more challenging routes for advanced skiers. To access the slopes, you'll have 18 ski lifts, including two double chairlifts, three triple chairlifts, and 12 T-bar lifts. In addition, El Colorado has three restaurants and a pub where you can recharge your batteries.
At the end of this time, we'll meet up to return the equipment and begin the journey back to the meeting point in Santiago. There, we'll say goodbye after a total of 12 hours together.
Options
When making your reservation, you can choose between two options:
- Day Trip without Clothing Rental: in this case, snow clothing rental is not included. You can bring your own clothing or purchase it at the rental center where we'll stop.
- Day Trip with Clothing Rental: this option includes snow clothing: gloves, pants, a jacket, and goggles.
