Welcome to the capital of Fogo Island! At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel and start a guided tour of São Filipe, a town full of color and history.
First, we'll enter the streets of the old town, full of Portuguese colonial-style houses where color is the main protagonist. We'll admire the beauty of its facades while we learn about the history of São Filipe.
During the tour, we'll stop at the main square of São Filipe and admire the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Church. This iconic blue church is sure to charm you with its bright facade! Afterward, we'll head to the Municipal Museum, where we'll learn all about the town, as well as its customs and nature.
To conclude the tour, we'll go to a local market, the perfect place to discover the most used ingredients in Cape Verdean gastronomy, the highlight of the tour!
Then, we'll end the guided tour of São Filipe by returning to your hotel 2 hours later.
