This unmissable guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace takes you on a journey through 600 years of history. Discover the secrets of the main residence of the Joseon Dynasty.

Description

After meeting up at the time indicated at the Gyeongbokgung metro station exit (opposite the stairs opposite the National Palace Museum doors), we'll embark on our guided tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace. One of Seoul's most important palaces awaits us.

We'll approach the Gwanghwamun Gate, the main entrance to the palace complex. Wars, invasions, fires... you'll hear all about the fascinating history of the landmark, which is one of the most emblematic symbols of Seoul's long history.

Inside the palace, we'll visit the throne room, known as Geunjungjeon, the King's office and the private chambers belonging to the King and the Queen, namely the Sajeongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon and Gyotaejeon. As we admire its historic decor, we'll learn all about the most representative figures of the Joseon Dynasty.

What's more, we'll get to see the Amisan Garden and the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a temple built on a beautiful artificial lake, as well as marvelling at the views of the spectacular Bukaksan Mountains. An unforgettable sight!

Our guided tour will come to an end after 2 hours at the exit to the palace.
