Discover one of the most enchanting parts in Taiwan on our Taroko National Park Tour from Taipei. You'll soon see why this place is one of Taiwan's main natural gems.
Taroko National Park Tour
At 6 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Taipei, board our bus and head to the Taroko National Park.
Before we reach our destination, we'll make a brief stop at TCC DAKA eco-factory in Hualien, a place dedicated to sustainability where you might want to take some photos. We'll soon arrive at the Tianxiang area, where the roads appear to wind through the gorges like snakes.
Next, we'll start to walk along the Shakadang Trail where you'll be able to admire the crystal-clear current of the Liwu River. Mind your step! We'll cross a huge, marble canyon surrounded by towering slopes that are covered with lush, subtropical vegetation.
Afterwards, we'll venture through the rocky tunnels of Swallow Grotto, where we'll see spectacular views of the gorge. Keep your eyes peeled for figures in the rocks, such as the Indian Chief. We'll also pass by Cimu Bridge, a red axe-shaped footbridge that bears the tragic tale of a mother and son. Before having lunch, we'll take a break at the Tianxiang recreation area.
Time to eat! We'll have a delicious traditional lunch, featuring rice as the main ingredient, in one of the park's restaurants. After lunch, we'll head inside the colossal Tunnel of Nine Turns to admire its faults and steep cliffs.
The next stop will be the Eternal Spring Shrine, which was constructed in memory of the 212 workers who lost their lives while building the motorway. We'll then get back on the bus and start our return journey, during which we'll stop at the Quingshui Cliff to see jaw-dropping views of the Pacific Ocean from 800 metres above sea level.
We'll finish our trip upon our arrival at your hotel in Taipei at 7 pm.
