At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Tangier and set off for Chefchaouen. Ready to discover the Blue Pearl of Morocco? Let’s go!
After a two-hour minibus ride, we’ll arrive at this city perched high in the Rif Mountains. The setting is simply stunning! Once there, we’ll begin a guided tour of the Medina. The main square is the heart of Chefchaouen, where we’ll admire the Grand Mosque and the Kasbah, built in the 18th century.
Of course, we’ll also wander through the souk, filled with traditional Moroccan crafts and colorful spices—you’ll probably find it hard to resist taking home a souvenir or two! As we stroll through the white-and-blue streets, we’ll also share some of the city’s legends. Did you know that its founding is said to have been an act of love?
We’ll then give you about an hour of free time to explore and have lunch on your own before heading back to your hotel in Tangier, arriving after a total of around eight hours.
Chefchaouen & Tetouan Day Trip
If you’ve got more time and want an even richer experience, upgrade your experience to include a trip to both Chefchaouen and the fascinating city of Tetouan. In this case, after exploring Chefchaouen, we’ll continue to Tetouan for a guided tour of its charming medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll uncover the city’s deep Andalusian roots and vibrant culture.
After the visit, we’ll return to Tangier, wrapping up the tour after about 10 hours.
