Parc du Thot Tickets
Ticket Details
Located in Thonac, a beautiful village in the Dordogne, Parc du Thot takes you 20,000 years back in time.
With your ticket, you can explore the park at your own pace for a full day, discovering Paleolithic life and art of early humans.
The park has three main areas of interest.
Rock Art Interpretation Center
This interactive museum exhibits showcase reproductions of the Lascaux cave paintings and scenes of Cro-Magnon daily life.
In addition, enjoy immersive experiences like a 3D cinema and a “time mirror” to compare hominids from different periods.
Animal Reserve
Spread over 7 hectares, the park is home to around 70 animals of species that lived alongside our ancestors, including bison, Przewalski's horses, tarpans, elk, deer, and Highland cattle. This allows you to see what the animals that inspired the cave art looked like.
Workshops & Activities
Parc du Thot offers various interactive workshops for all ages, where you can learn some of the techniques used by our ancestors, such as rock art, hunting and fishing, and stone and leather crafting.
