A great activity, different from the usual daytime park visits. We saw spiders, crickets, grasshoppers, caterpillars, rainbow frogs, crabs, leaf butterflies, basilisks, opossums, porcupines, and armadillos!
It was a rainy day, so the chances of seeing animals were reduced. However, thanks to our guide, Rubier, we were able to see alligators, basilisks, howler monkeys, a sloth, iguanas, a puffer fish, and various types of birds up close, while he told us interesting facts about the country. The ride was very peaceful, not only along the main canal but also through narrow channels with abundant vegetation, which were impossible to cross.
We were a group of eight (two families) guided by Luis. We were lucky enough to see a green turtle in the process of laying its eggs and then camouflaging them. Luis gave us a wealth of information about the laying process, turtle habits, predators, and more, and answered all our questions. An unforgettable experience.
