2 or 3 day Ichapekene Festival in San Ignacio de Moxos

Day 1

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad at 6 am to set off for San Ignacio de Moxos. After a two-hour drive we will arrive at our destination, where we will settle into the hotel and have breakfast.

Afterwards, we'll take a walk through the town to visit the Missionary Church, the Cabildo Indigenal, the Museum of Moxos and the School of Music. In each of these places we will discover the history and traditions of the town, characterised by the fusion between the Hispanic and indigenous cultures.

After the visit, we'll have lunch in a local restaurant and head to the church, where mass will be celebrated in honour of St. Ignatius of Loyola, patron saint of the town. Once the ceremony is over, we'll see how the Tintirintín, a legendary character, marks the beginning of the procession on horseback. Behind him will be the figure of the Patron Saint accompanied by the achos and chasqueros in their colourful costumes

Day 2

After a rest at the hotel, we'll have breakfast and set off on a hiking route to the Isirere lagoon, one of the natural attractions of the area. This area hides mysterious legend that we'll learn about along the way. Here you can swim and explore the surroundings.

Afterwards, we'll return to the village for lunch and start our return to Trinidad, where we will arrive at 5 pm.

After a visit to the Isirere lagoon and lunch on the second day, we'll join the procession of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, a religious celebration honouring the patron saint of the town.
