Discover the most authentic side of Varadero and its way of life on this walking tour through the most historic sites of the city, including a horse-drawn carriage ride!
Tour Description
After meeting at the indicated time at the corner of Avenida 1 and Calle 62, we'll start walking through the Boulevard shopping area. There, among colourful terraces and stalls, we'll go in search of an art gallery to learn about the cultural movement of the resort town of Varadero.
We'll then continue our tour by visiting the Varadero Museum, also known as the Varadero Landmarks Interpretation Centre. After entering its exhibition halls, we'll head towards the main beach of Varadero, where we'll delight our palate with the flavours of 4 types of Cuban rums accompanied by chocolate—a real delicacy!
With the warmth that the rum and chocolate have given us, we'll walk towards the Parque Josone. When we arrive, we'll cross its exotic gardens while we tell you the enigmatic history of this place. Did you know that its name comes from the combination of the names of an in-love couple?
Next, it will be time to climb into a horse-drawn carriage that will be waiting for us at the exit of the park. For an hour, we'll ride along the main avenues of Varadero and enjoy the coastal scenery until we reach a supply warehouse.
Afterwards, we'll continue our horse-drawn carriage ride to the Parador Fotográfico de Varadero. We'll get off so that you can take some pictures with the Atlantic in the background. Next, we'll pass by the oldest house in the old town. Then, we'll stop at Bar Benny, where you can relax and enjoy a classic Cuban cocktail. Last stop? The craft fair, where you won't be able to resist buying a souvenir.
Finally, we'll say goodbye at 15th Street after a 3-hour adventure.
