Viñales Free Walking Tour
We'll meet at 10 am in front of the Parque José Martí statue, right in the centre of the city. This is the ideal place to start learning about the origins of Viñales, a city that still preserves its agricultural tradition.
From there we'll walk down the main avenue, admiring the red brick houses that are so characteristic of this region of Cuba, wonderfully mixed among restaurants and little souvenir shops. We'll also come across some horse and carts, the locals' traditional vehicle. You'll love it!
Then we'll head to the Botanic Gardens, where we'll learn about the plant species that grow in the Viñales valley. Did you know that this Cuban valley was declared a World Heritage Cultural Landscape?
We'll finish this free walking tour of Viñales on a tobacco farm at 12 pm. At this last stop we'll discover the history and secrets of the cultivation process of one of the country's most famous products.
