We'll meet at the time of your choice at the pier of the Dique Punta Negra reservoir. Once there, you'll tell the instructor if you want to simply rent the kayak and paddle at your own pace, or if you prefer a kayak tour around the reservoir. Both activities have the same price and last one hour.

Dique Punta Negra is one of the main reservoirs in the province of San Juan, where the absence of waves and currents allows for a pleasant experience on the water. While paddling, you'll be able to admire the reservoir's great dam and the mountains that line the course of the San Juan River.

If you decide to take the tour, you'll also learn some curious facts about the dam, which was inaugurated in 2015 by the then president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

On the tour, you'll also discover how the reservoir's hydroelectric power is produced, which provides supply to both San Juan, the provincial capital, and the department of Zonda.

Finally, you will return all the equipment to the meeting point.

What are the kayaks like?

At the pier of the reservoir, you'll be able to choose between a single or double kayak. Please note that the prices indicated are per person and not per boat.
