Discover the charm of Provence on this tour of the lavender fields of Valensole from Avignon. You'll be captivated by the beautiful landscapes of southern France!
Valensole Lavender Fields
At 9 am on the day of the tour, we'll meet at the tourist office in Avignon ready to set off to the Valensole plateau, one of the most important places for growing lavender in the south of France.
We'll drive past the seemingly-endless fields of lavender characteristic of Provence, making several stops to take memorable photos of the beautiful landscapes. Throughout the tour, we'll also hear all about the many uses for the plant as well as enjoying its fragrant scent and stunning violent colour contrasting against the yellow wheat fields. A true paradise!
After exploring the lavender fields, we'll head to Moustiers Sainte-Marie, where you'll have around an hour of free time to explore the village at your own pace. We'll then meet back up again for the drive to the Lac de Sainte-Croix.
At this striking emerald lake, we'll stop so you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along its shores or even take a refreshing dip in its sparkling waters.
At the end of our tour, we'll return to the original departure point in Avignon for around 6:30 pm.
