1-Day Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time at the Bahía Drake letters and head to the Río Agujitas farm, half an hour away. Welcome to rural Costa Rica!
During the tour, we'll walk through the vegetation to learn the difference between primary and secondary forests. Then, we'll descend to the banks of the Agujitas River, where we'll grab some floats.
Time to go tubing! As we float down the course of the river we'll see animals like frogs and birds. Back on shore, we'll leave the floats behind to continue hiking through the farm.
Afterward, learn all about the eco-friendly projects this place carries out to protect the environment. Can you guess what products they grow? To find out, we'll have a lunch consisting of pasta, bread, fruit, and juice. All the ingredients are homemade! And for the icing on the cake, we'll enjoy a cup of tea or coffee overlooking the garden.
Finally, we'll return to Drake Bay and accompany you back to the starting point to conclude the excursion after a total of 5.5 hours.
2-Day Tour
If you wish to prolong your adventure in the tropical jungle, we recommend booking this 2-day tour with an overnight stay at the Río Agujitas farm.
In this case, after lunch and a brief rest, we'll go on a new guided sunset hike, ideal for observing the fauna that comes alive at this hour of the day. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a homemade dinner before preparing for a truly fascinating experience: a night tour of the jungle. With the help of our torches, we'll follow paths in search of amphibians, insects, and, if we're lucky, a nocturnal mammal or two.
At the end of our tour, we'll settle down in rustic cabins with views of the jungle and river, enjoying a restful night surrounded by nature.
On the next day, after a tropical breakfast, we'll go on one final morning trip. Afterwards, we'll return to the farm for a re-energising lunch before beginning our journey back to Bahía Drake.
