Clorinda & Pilcomayo River Tour
Clorinda & Pilcomayo River Tour
At 7:30 am, we'll meet at Roque Saenz Peña Avenue in Clorinda and then take you on a panoramic tour of this beautiful city in the Argentinian province of Formosa.
During the tour of Clorinda, which borders the Paraguayan border to the north, we'll learn about the history of its main monuments. Among them are the parishes of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, San Juan Bautista, and San José Esposo de María.
At mid-morning, we'll have a light snack in the center of Clorinda and then go to the banks of the Pilcomayo River. There, you'll be able to choose which paddle boat you prefer: a kayak, a canoe, or a rowboat. Once on board, we'll embark on an exciting paddling tour on the Pilcomayo River, where we'll enjoy its beautiful natural scenery.
Throughout the first 2-hour part of the paddle tour, we'll make stops every 30 minutes to rest, take pictures, and admire the native fauna. We'll see lots of animals, including Formosan birds, howler monkeys, mountain foxes, coatis, and river otters. We'll conclude this section of the paddle with a picnic in the middle of nature, which will include a typical Formosan dish.
After lunch, we'll relax by fishing in the river and then start paddling again for 1 hour. After the paddle tour, we'll drive to the El Porteño neighborhood of Clorinda for a snack that will include cocido quemado and other local specialties.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point, arriving between 4 and 5 pm.
