Hualcupén Valley 4x4 Tour

Description

At the indicated time we'll meet at the meeting point in Caviahue or Copahue, before starting this 4x4 tour through the Hualcupén Valley. A route full of adventure, surrounded by beautiful volcanic landscapes, awaits us!

Once in the off-road vehicle, we enter the Hualcupén Valley and begin an 8-kilometre (4.9-mile) drive along Ruta 26. The first point we'll visit is the Hualcupén Lagoon, an area surrounded by volcanic sand and a forest of araucarias. It's a natural spectacle that will leave you in awe!

We'll continue our tour through the Hualcupén Valley, heading towards the Las Lecheras Valley, located another 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) away. Here we'll see a Valdivian forest full of ancient araucaria trees that hide a lot of history. We'll tell you all about it! We'll also tell you about the peculiarities of the local flora and fauna.

In the valley, we'll also meet Margarita, who belongs to a Mapuche community. She'll welcome us and offer us delicious food typical of her culture. We'll get to enjoy fried cakes, homemade bread and tea while we learn more about the customs and traditions of the Mapuche people.

The 4x4 excursion through the Hualcupén Valley will end with the return to Copahue or Caviahue 5 hours later.
