Puente de Piedra Hiking Route

Description

After meeting at the indicated point in Caviahue or Copahue, we'll head towards the place where we'll start this hiking route along the Puente de Piedra. A unique volcanic landscape in the Argentine Patagonia awaits us!

The starting point will be the ascent to the Puente de Piedra trail, located only 9 kilometres (5.5 miles) from Caviahue. Along this 1.5-kilometre-long (0.9-mile) trail, we'll immerse ourselves in interpreting the local flora and fauna, along with exploring the unique features of the geological landscape that surrounds us.

As well as that, on our hiking route along the Puente de Piedra, we'll be accompanied by breathtaking panoramic views of the Caviahue Lake, the entrance to the Hualcupen Valley and the imposing Copahue Volcano. We'll be immersed in a true natural paradise!

Once we arrive at the Puente de Piedra of Caviahue, we'll leave you time to rest and take some nice souvenir photos.

After 3.5 hours of hiking, we'll take you back to the meeting point, see you next time!

• Excursion from Copahue: at 1:30 pm at the Copahue Shopping Centre
• Excursion from Caviahue: at 2 pm at Cabaña de Hebe - Hostelling International
