Haridwar Private Tour
Highlights
After being picked up from your hotel in Delhi at the scheduled time, we'll make our way towards Haridwar. Are you ready to discover why this city is so important? The journey will last between 4 and 5 hours and will allow us to enjoy some of the amazing landscapes of northern India.
The first stop will take place in Har Ki Pauri, one of the most venerable and famous ghats in Haridwar. There, we'll have the chance to get up close and personal with the Ganges river, which is considered one of the most sacred locations for Hindus. This is the perfect time to take a photo!
We'll then continue our tour towards the Mansa Devi Temple, located on the top of a hill. From there, you'll be able to enjoy impressive panoramic views of Haridwar and its suburbs. Moreover, you'll be able to choose between reaching the top on foot or taking advantage of the cable car.
At midday, you'll be allowed some free time to eat a delicious lunch in one of the local restaurants in Haridwar. This will give you the chance to try some of the incredible local dishes filled with flavours and unique Indian spices.
Next stop? The Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Shiva and situated very close to the Ganges. Touring this sanctuary, we'll learn all about the religious tradition in India and admire the architectural and artistic details that make this place so special.
Before finishing this tour, we'll return to Har Ki Pauri to attend the aarti ceremony, a ceremony of lights, music and fervour. We'll be witnesses of this event, a heartwarming experience that will connect you with spirituality and the sheer devotion of the Hindu people.
After this emotional experience, we'll begin our journey back to Delhi. Some 12.5 hours later, you'll return to your accommodation. Namaste!
Lord Shiva Holy Month
From mid-July to mid-August, the holy month of Lord Shiva is celebrated, so there will be a large influx of people. This may slow down the tour, which can last up to 15 hours during this period.
