El Calafate Stargazing Experience
Activity Details
We’ll pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate at the scheduled time and head to the outskirts of the city, where the Cruz Aike ranch is located.
During the eastward journey along the legendary National Route 40, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of Lake Argentino and the Andes Mountains. Upon arrival at the ranch, you’ll have a short time to explore and learn about the history, customs, and traditions of rural life in Argentina, in true gaucho style.
Next, we’ll recharge with a delicious dinner. The menu includes a starter of Roquefort mousse on country bread, a main course of lamb ossobuco with rosemary and tomato risotto, and for dessert, a dulce de leche pancake with Swiss meringue and cinnamon, along with mineral water.
After dinner, we’ll watch a short 15-minute astronomy presentation. Once we’ve learned the basics, it’s time to put them into practice. Ready to observe the stars and celestial bodies? Using a telescope, we’ll identify the Milky Way along with various nebulae and constellations.
At the end of this incredible stargazing experience, we’ll return to your hotel in El Calafate after a total of five hours.
