Day Trip Details

Are you ready for an unforgettable day? We'll pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate. Once on board the off-road bus, we'll start our trip by crossing the vast Patagonian Desert in search of the border crossing Cancha Carrera. The drive through the plains will be the perfect way to start the trip!

After 3 hours and 15 minutes, we'll be officially in Chile and stop in the café El Ovejero, near Cerro Castillo. Here, we'll stop so you can stretch your legs and enjoy a coffee. Before we continue, we'll give you a lunch so you can enjoy it on board the bus or at one of the stops along the way.

We'll travel along ranch roads and see Bahía El Bote, the entrance to Torres del Paine National Park. We'll then reach the viewpoint Sarmiento. In front of us, we'll see the stunning Cordillera Paine with its peaks rising through the ground like knives. Don't forget to take a picture!

Then, we'll officially enter the park on the shores of the Serrano River. We'll reach the Laguna Amarga viewpoint , donde haremos una parada fotográfica antes de ir en busca de la cascada del río Paine. Allí, prepararemos las cámaras una vez más para tomar las mejores instantáneas del macizo con la cascada completando el panorama.

Our next stop is Nordenskjöld Lake, known for its intense turquoise hues. If you're lucky, you'll see the guanacos grazing on the hillsides and the condors flying over.

We'll reach the viewpoint of Los Cuernos, where we'll tie up our shoes and embark on a hike of 2.86 mi (4.6 km) to the beach of Lake Pehoé. During this hiking route, we'll be so close to the Torres del Paine that it'll feel like we can touch them.

After this special hike, the trip will continue by bus, where we'll make our last two stops to take pictures at the viewpoints of Salto Grande and Lake Pehoé. Here, the turquoise blue contrasts with the overwhelming backdrop of the mountains.

Afterward, we'll follow a different route to the border and go through immigration procedures once again. We'll then return to El Calafate, where the day trip will end by dropping you off at your hotel after 15 hours. What a day!
