Florence Cathedral Tickets: Dome, Baptistery, Campanile, & Museo
What's Included in this Ticket to Florence's Cathedral?
By booking this ticket, you can explore the main architectural and artistic treasures of Florence for 72 hours. Plus, you'll have an audio guide in English available at the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower and Brunelleschi's Dome. This device will reveal the best-kept secrets of both of these monuments!
The Florence Cathedral is an architectural gem, combining Gothic and Renaissance styles. Its marble facade in white, green, and pink shades is truly a masterpiece in itself. It's undeniably the city's symbol!
Thanks to this ticket, you can also discover its interior and the crypt of Santa Reparata, the remains of a former church with centuries of Florentine history. Along with the cathedral, you'll also see other monuments in the city with this ticket. Let's see which ones!
Brunelleschi's Dome
The impressive Brunelleschi's Dome is one of the most important architectural milestones of the Renaissance. After showing your ticket, you can climb up its 463 steps while marvelling at the frescoes by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari, representing The Last Judgement.
Once you reach the top of the dome, you'll enjoy one of Florence's most spectacular views, with its reddish roofs, historical churches, and the Arno River. Don't forget to take a picture!
Baptistery of Saint John
Did you know the Baptistery of Saint John is one of the oldest monuments in Florence? Inside, you'll admire the details of its imposing dome, decorated with golden mosaics that depict biblical scenes.
Outside, you'll find the famous Gates of Paradise by Lorenzo Ghiberti, considered one of the prime examples of Renaissance art.
Giotto's Campanile
Giotto's Campanile, standing at 279 feet (84 meters) tall, is one of the most beautiful towers in Italy. Decorated with colorful marble, low reliefs, and sculptures, the Florence Cathedral's bell tower is one of the finest examples of Florentine Gothic architecture—a true work of art in itself!
Ready to climb its 414 steps? From the top of this tower, you can take in the best views of the Tuscan capital and, of course, Brunelleschi's Dome from a unique perspective.
Museo dell'Opera del Duomo
This ticket also gives you access to the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, which houses a collection of sculptures and original artworks that once decorated the Florence Cathedral and its surroundings.
Among the most important pieces, you'll find The Deposition by Michelangelo, an unfinished sculpture filled with emotion, the original panels of the Gates of Paradise by Ghiberti, and artworks by Donatello, such as his captivating Penitent Magdalene.
