Get to know the rural life of the outskirts of Granada & enjoy its incredible landscapes on this 4x4 tour of the Alpujarra. You'll visit the white villages of the Poqueira Valley & the famous glacial ravine of the Lanjarón River.
Alpujarra Jeep Excursion
After picking you up at your hotel in Granada at 9 am, we'll head south to Tablate. During this 4x4 tour through the Alpujarra, you'll admire the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and explore the beautiful villages that are located in this area of Granada. Ready to go?
First, we'll make a stop next to the old bridge of Tablate, the location of many historical clashes between Muslims and Christians in the time of the Catholic Monarchs. Delving into its history, we'll reveal why this bridge was also the site of battles during the reign of Philip II. Does the Rebellion of the Alpujarras ring any bells? We'll tell you all the details!
Next, we'll continue our journey to Lanjarón, one of the most beautiful villages of the Alpujarra. Onboard the jeep, we'll ascend to the glacial valley of the Lanjarón River to learn all about the medicinal waters that have made this village famous. From here, you'll be able to see the Mediterranean Sea and even the Rif mountain range in Africa!
Our next destinations will be Pampaneira, a white village in the Poqueira Valley, and Trevélez, one of the highest villages in Spain. Here, you'll have an hour of free time for lunch. As an added bonus, we'll even buy you a drink!
Then we'll head to Capileira, our last stop of the day, where you'll have half an hour free to go on a stroll through the streets and soak up the rural charm of the Alpujarra.
At the end of the tour, we'll take you back to your hotel, arriving at 7 pm.
