Havana Free Tour
Delve into Havana’s unique rich culture and history on a free walking tour accompanied by a professional English-speaking guide and learn about this designated World Heritage city’s main sights and its fascinating past.
Havana Free Tour
We'll start our free walking tour of Havana at Alameda de Paula. We'll start by checking out Parque Central, a park that's the green heart of the city, which is also surrounded by emblematic buildings such as the famous governmental building, El Capitolio.
While we discover some of the city's fascinating history, we'll continue our walking tour past the Partagás tobacco factory. This is currently closed for renovation work, but our expert guide will explain all about the Cuban cigar-making process.
Next, we'll head to the Parque de la Fraternidad Americana, an area of parks that was created in 1928 and symbolises the relations between Cuba and the rest of the continent. There's a lot of history to be told here!
We'll then leave the most touristy places behind and make our way to some lesser known sights that maintain the essence of the Havana from yesteryear. You'll be able to discover the customs and habits of the locals and see what life is really like here.
Our free walking tour will then head to Bar Floridita. Standing tall next to the famous Bacardi Building, with its Art Deco architecture and 1940s and 50s atmosphere, this bar is the birthplace of frozen daiquiris and was a regular hangout for Ernest Hemmingway. No trip to Havana would be complete without seeing this iconic place!
We'll finish our free tour of Havana in Plaza Vieja in Old Havana.
