The Kled Kaew, which supported the Thai navy, sank in the Andaman Sea in 2014. Discover the amazing remains of the shipwreck with this fantastic diving activity from Ko Phi Phi Don.
Diving to the Kled Kaew Shipwreck
We will meet up at 7:15 am at the dive center located on Moo Street, very close to the Ko Phi Phi Don dock. From this Thai island, we will set sail to various spots for immersions in the Andaman Sea, one of the world's diving paradises!
We will make the first dive to the wreck of the Kled Kaew. This ship, one of the support ships of the Royal Thai Navy, sank in 2014. The vessel weighing 380 tons and measuring 160 feet long, eternally lies at the bottom of the Andaman Sea. However, the ship was deliberately sunk in a controlled manner, so that the fish in the area could take refuge under the hull of the ship.
During the dive, we will see the wonderful marine life under the Kled Kaew. It is a point of great biodiversity, with lionfish, scorpionfish, yellow tail barracudas, and other amazing species that live 100 feet deep down in the ocean. In fact, this part of Thailand has become one of the most popular places in the world for underwater photography.
After this first dive, we will return to the boat to take a well-deserved rest as we sail to the second dive point in the Andaman Sea. Then it is time to enjoy a 2nd fantastic immersion under the waves.
Finally, we will return to the original departure pier, where we arrive at 12:30 pm.
