Madrid Gourmet Tapas Tour + Rooftop
Tapas Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet in Plaza de San Miguel. From there, we'll start a tapas tour of Madrid that will show us some of the secrets of the capital's gastronomy as we hop around to different bars.
First, we'll explore the streets of La Latina, Cava Baja, and Cuchilleros, famous for their tapas culture. At our first stop, we'll enjoy traditional mushrooms with a tapa of Asturian-style chorizo a la sidra, or, as a veggie option, padrón peppers, accompanied by wine, beer, or soft drinks.
Our tour will then continue at the Madrid de los Austrias (Madrid of the Austrians), where we'll see iconic places like the Mercado de San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, or the legendary restaurant Botín, Puerta Cerrada, and the Huertas street.
Then, we'll head to a cozy food house to taste tender Iberian carrilleras (pork cheeks) with creamy mashed potatoes and a glass of red wine. Later, we'll pass by the vibrant Plaza de Santa Ana, next to the historic Teatro Español, soaking in the atmosphere of one of the liveliest areas in Madrid. Our next stop includes classic garlic prawns, served sizzling in a clay pot.
Our fourth and last stop will be at a rooftop terrace in the center of Madrid, where we'll enjoy a glass of cava or sparkling wine as you take in the views from the rooftop. You can take great pictures from here!
In total, the tour will last 4 hours.
